Grilled Skirt Steak
You’re going to love this grilled skirt steak because it’s juicy and full of flavor! It’s the perfect addition to your cookout or picnic this summer, especially if you’re over eating hamburgers and hot dogs!
Don’t worry, if you live in an apartment or just don’t have a grill (like me), you can use a grill pan and still get the perfect flavor. I use a Lodge cast iron grill pan that gives this steak (or anything!) that perfect grilled taste. Depending on the size of your pan, you might have to cut your skirt steak in half.
I love to serve this on top of a salad or with a baked potato and a vegetable like asparagus or Brussels sprouts. It also works with your traditional cookout sides like potato salad or grilled vegetables. You can really serve this grilled skirt steak in any way, even on tacos or sandwiches!
You know what time it is, friends! It’s time to cook! Enjoy!
How long should I grill my skirt steak?
Skirt steak is thin (obviously) so you have to cook it fast on high heat. You should aim for three minutes to four minutes per side depending on if you prefer medium or medium-well. If you overcook it, it might turn out chewy so keep an eye on your skirt steak!
Do I need to marinate my skirt steak?
Yes! Especially if you’re following my recipe! Don’t worry, you only have to marinate this for 30 to 40 minutes, and keep it on your counter because it’s best to cook steak that’s room temperature!
